My Story

If interested, please contact the foster home. Petfinder Profiles doesn’t always work. Fostering in Gloucester Massachusetts Wilbur Approx 15 weeks old Male UTD on age appropriate vaccinations including Rabies. On heartworm prevention Micro chipped White, Black ticks / Double Mask Approximately 22lbs Cattle Dog Mix 1 of 3 litter mates Please note... these pups are not first come first served. All applications will be considered to insure the right fit for pup and adopter(s). Also, litter mates are never adopted together. Wilbur does not wish to add to the over population of pets and will come with a NEUTER contract to be completed at 6 months. Unfortunately since these pups were dumped on a farm, there is no history on Mom and Dad. We can only speculate that Mom was a blue heeler and Dad??? What can I say about Wilbur! He's a hunk, a chunk of burning love. Look at those eyes, and the feet! Oh my, what big feet he has. Wilbur isn't as petite and fast like his sister's, but he makes up for it in personality. He seems to be a fan favorite. Everybody loves Wilbur. Wilbur is on the mellow side, seems like an old soul. But don't let that fool you, he's still a Cattle dog. Please keep in mind he is still a pup with sharp puppy teeth and claws. Wilbur is very good about going #2 outside, we are still working on the peeing. He is crate trained and sleeps through the night with no issues. Wilbur is very food and toy motivated. Wilbur was temp fostered in KY where he spent time with young children, other dogs and a kitty. He was very respectful of kitty. Wilbur is already showing his Cattle dog instincts, stalking his litter mates! Oh yes, digging holes is so much fun! Wilbur is fostering with 3 adult dogs and his litter mates. Wilbur will need an active family with lots of time to dedicate to his training. Potential adopters should have experience and/or knowledge of the breed. Willingness to hire a professional, ethical trainer if needed. Wilbur will need lots of exercise and room to run.
