Meet Wicket!
This sweet young boy is 10 weeks old and on the hunt for his new forever family! Wicket currently weighs in at 10.1 pounds and we're sure he still has some growing to do. Wicket, his litter mates, and his mom (Leia) were surrendered to the rescue when he was 2 weeks old. Mama Leia was found as a stray and the nice family who took her in set her up in a safe, comfortable place for her to have her puppies, and the adorable family is happy, healthy, and growing in their foster home!
It soon became apparent that the puppies were probably going to be larger than their mama so we went ahead and had a DNA test run on one of them. *We were pretty curious! Mama Leia is a 20+ pound Shiba Inu mix and we believe these pups will probably be larger than her. They are a mix of Shiba Inu, Chihuahua, American Pit Bull Terrier, Pomeranian, Rottweiler, German Shepherd Dog, and the rest was unresolved. We believe they will end up being medium size dogs when they're full grown.
Wicket is a fun-loving guy who loves to play with anyone who will play with him. He likes to cuddle for a minute and then he’s off to find anything that crinkles to make noise. He tries to puzzle things out when he can’t get to something he really wants.
UPDATE from Wicket's foster mom - Wicket is a big ole' goof. He loves playing and pouncing and bounding. He plays with anyone or anything who will give him a moment. He is pure joy to watch and be around. He enjoys snuggling up on the bed when he finally wears out. This guy will be your best friend and a clown-around buddy. He is a perfect dude to have wonderful times together and a great couch buddy to watch movies. He's the perfect all around companion!
FINE PUPPY PRINT: These puppies have been on this earth for just a very short time and will require training and patience as they grow and find their way. The puppies are currently working on potty training and consistency will be key once they are placed in their forever home.
