A few months ago, we were notified by our rescue affiliate in Alabama about a sweet dog named Whitney that was picked up as a stray and brought to the shelter. It was determined she had recently had a litter of pups which unfortunately were no where to be found. Her belly had been extremely swollen and after further testing, it was determined that poor Whitney had a severe case of HeartWorm and was in congestive heart failure as a result. RTH knew we had to save her life!
Fast forward to today, Whitney is thriving, has been treated for the Heartworm and her heart is strong and healthy now. She is the most sweetest dog with a huge personality to go with it She is incredible with all people and other dogs. Whitney weighs about 65 lbs, is UTD, 4 years old and will be microchipped and she will be spayed when she is able to be. For the next month or two Whitney will need to take it kind of easy (we know easier said than done) and if any dog deserves an incredible home to be loved forever Whitney is the dog for you.
Whitney is currently located in Alabama, and available with transport to NC/VA/NJ/NY/CT/PA.
