**UPDATE** Whitney is now in her foster home on Long Island, NY
A few months ago, we were notified by our rescue affiliate in Alabama about a sweet dog named Whitney that was picked up as a stray and brought to the shelter. It was determined she had recently had a litter of pups which unfortunately were no where to be found. Her belly had been extremely swollen and after further testing, it was determined that poor Whitney had a severe case of HeartWorm and was in congestive heart failure as a result. RTH knew we had to save her life!
Fast forward to today, Whitney is thriving, has been treated for the Heartworm and her heart is strong and healthy now. She is the most sweetest dog with a huge personality to go with it. She is incredible with all people and other dogs and cats. Whitney weighs about 65 lbs, is UTD, spayed, 4 years old and will be microchipped. She is also potty trained and leash trained.
Whitney is currently located in Alabama, and available with transport to NJ/NY/CT/PA.
