Whinney Poo

Hello, I'm Whinney Poo, a 4-year-old, 50-pound, golden and white Shar-Pei mix with a gentle soul and a heart full of potential. Life has been a bit scary for me, so I tend to be shy and reserved, especially indoors. You'll often find me hiding behind the couch, where I feel safe and secure. But don't let that fool you—I'm very sweet and have so much love to give. I feel most comfortable in the backyard, where I can run around and come to you at my own pace. It's in these moments that my true personality shines through. I love having wet food mixed into my kibble and have been enjoying some healthy table scraps like steak in my foster home. I'm looking for a home with older children who can understand my need for space and help me slowly build my confidence. An adult-only home would also work well for me. My best dog friend, Jack Jack, gives me the courage to approach people, but I'm not fond of other dogs besides him. With time to decompress and slow introductions, I might be able to get along with other dogs, but we're not sure yet. Jack Jack and I can be adopted together, but we're not bonded, so we can also go to separate homes. I'm currently being fostered in Franklin, TN, but I can be transported to a forever home out of state if it's the right fit. If you have a patient heart and a loving home, I believe we could be a perfect match. Let's take this journey together and help me come out of my shell.
