My Story

Watts is the most perfect little guy. He's a great medium size at only 42lbs and is about 3 years old. Watts was rescued on his euthanasia day from the county shelter due to spacing issues. He is thriving in foster and surprises us everyday with how smart and silly he is! Watts is currently living with other dogs, cats, and children. He is crate & house trained, though is still figuring out the whole leash thing. He's trying! So far, he knows how to sit and lie down. He rides well in the car and is ready to go places with you! He loves meeting new people! Watts is the perfect balance of energy & playfulness and chillaxing. He loves to lounge outside in the sunshine and roll around in the grass. Sometimes his foster mom finds him laying in the strangest positions around the house. Watts is bowlegged in his front legs. He has been x-rayed and the vet believes his bowlegs to be a congenital deformity that he was born with. He currently receives daily joint supplements as a preventative for arthritis. It does not hold him back! ******************* Watts is located in a foster home. We are happy to coordinate a meet & greet for pre-approved adopters. To get started, please submit an adoption application at https://bit.ly/USAHOTNADOPT2024 Adoption process: Potential adopters complete our online application. From there, we contact them to continue the screening process including checking references, vet checks, and a personal phone interview. Upon completion, potential adopters are pre-approved. From there, potential adopters are put in touch with the foster parent(s) of the dog they are interested in adopting. If a specific dog is not in mind, admins will make suggestions based on who we feel will be good candidates for their home. We take the foster's opinions into high consideration when determining ideal fit for an adoption. Once the dog is determined to be a good fit for the adoptive home, the adopter is given advisement on decompression, training, safety gear, and future preventative vetting. The adoption contract is signed and adoption fee paid to finalize the adoption.
