Please note that Watson's adoption is pending. You're more than welcome to submit an appliation if you wishIn the event his adoption were to fall through, we will consider other applicants at that time.
Watson is a fun-loving, energetic puppy that looks like a chocolate Britney Spaniel and is housebroken. He will be a small to medium size when he reaches maturity and is about 25lbs at 6 months old.
Arrival Story: Watson was surrendered by his owner and currently resides at
a kennel. His former owner was a young man who took in Watson as a puppy,
but later realized he could not afford to give Watson proper veterinary care
and the time and attention a puppy needs. We are currently making
arrangements for Watson to be fully vetted.
Approximate Age: Watson was born September 29th, 2006, so he is about 6
months old.
Personality: Watson's former owner said Watson is very outgoing and is good
with children, cats and other dogs, although he can play a little rough at
times. Watson loves attention and is very motivated by treats, so he will
be easy to train.
Forever Home: Watson needs a home where he will receive a lot of exercise,
stimulation and direction, plus all the love a puppy deserves. Watson
should have a fenced yard.
.
Waggin' Tails Adoption Information: Waggin' Tails Dog Rescue has a standard adoption fee of $175, or $200 for puppies plus a $50 deposit which is returned upon proof of spay/neuter at six months of age. Our adoption process includes an application, vet reference checks, and a home visit.
We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check www.waggintailsdogrescue.org for the dates of our next adoption events. With few exceptions, we show our adoptable animals on Saturdays from 12pm - 3pm at Petco in Novi (on Novi Rd south of 12 mile) or Petco in Farmington Hills (Orchard Lake south of 14 mile). Arrangements can be made to meet our rescue dogs outside of Saturday adoption events after an approved application is submitted (the application does not imply an obligation by the applicant or by the rescue group).
Please be kind to our volunteers who have made rescue a second job that they do in their spare time after coming home from full-time jobs. E-mail inquiries will be answered much more quickly than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.
Thank you for your support of rescue and your interest in a rescue dog!
