Walter

Waltermelon (or Walter for short) is a big boy with an even bigger personality to match. His favorite hobbies include napping, giving kisses, snuggling, and going for walks with his person. He's a gentle giant with a heart as big as his head. Walter has been around another dog and two feline siblings for the past year and a half. He's curious about cats, but very gentle. He gets along very well with his doggy friend, also. However, he can be selective with his doggie friends, and doesn't like it when another dog barks at him or startles him. He doesn't mind seeing other dogs on walks, but would likely do well as a single dog, or with a sibling who is very calm and friendly toward others. A proper introduction would be necessary for Wally's comfort. Walter can be a bit of a big baby. He's afraid of things like the bath and loud storms, but does well with nail trims and brushing. Walter knows some basic commands, like "sit," "down," "stay," and "go to bed." He gets a little impatient when he's trying to stay, but with practice and consistency, he'll get the hang of it. His favorite words are, "are you hungry?" Walter is completely kennel trained. He sleeps in there every night (although he'll happily sleep with you, given the chance). He likes to eat in his kennel, too. He's also fully housebroken and has never once had an accident! Not even on rainy and stormy days. Walter has been known to chew on things, given the chance. He can be left alone for short times, but without periodic supervision or stimulation, he gets a little bored. Thankfully, he's very comfortable spending time safe in his kennel! Walter has so much love for every person he meets. However, he can get a little excited around very small children. He would likely do better in a home with older kids. Waltermelon has nothing but love to offer. He's the sweetest boy. He'll be the perfect companion!
