Hello! My name is Walter and I’m the resident deaf old man here at Bull Terrier Rescue Mission. I am an 8 yr. old bull terrier with a nub tail. My tail got hurt somehow before I was rescued, so BTRM got it all fixed up for me and now it isn’t causing anymore pain. I kinda had a rough start, but I’ve really bloomed into a rather cool but quirky pup since I got rescued! I love lying on the sofa with you or under the table where you are working, chewing on bones, cruising around my yard and eating low hanging leaves. I’m kinda like an old hippie who likes hanging out with the dogs I like to hang out with. I don’t like all dogs so I guess I’m kinda picky about who gets to be my friend. As I said, I’m deaf so you have to remember I can’t hear you coming and so just like any other pup I get a little jumpy if you surprise me. My foster mom talks to me just like I can hear…not sure why she does that, but I like it. I do have some ongoing medical concerns that require medication and so I guess you could say I would be a “medical case”. My best home would be an only home with someone who likes to give me lots of love and understands my special needs. I might do best in a rural setting without a lot of other dogs, small animals or children. I am a happy dog and have learned to enjoy life since getting to BTRM. I am located in Virginia, but I can be transported to the perfect home.
