My Story

Wally is new to 4 paws rescue and is currently in a foster home where we are learning alot more about him. His brothers are listed as "PUPPIES!" and they are also looking for foster homes or loving forever homes! He and his brothers were rescued by Four Paws Rescue from the Nibley Idaho pound, when they were going to be euthanized.

Wally is a very, very sweet, 10 week old, male, Australian Shepherd / Border Collie mix, with possibly Blue Heeler or Labrador mixed in as well. He is absolutly adorable. He has a pink and black nose, Black and White coloring and sweet puppy dog eyes.

Wally is already starting to show the strong herding instinct and will try and round people up like he would do with cattle and/or sheep in a field. Therefore he may not be the best with really young kids, but he is really good with older kids (6 and older) His foster mom recently took him to her sister's house and the kids (ages 3-10) held Wally, cuddled him and he put up with it all and was very gentle with them. He is very playful. He loves to play with other dogs, squeaky toys and loves to chew on rawhide bones. He is curious about cats and just wants to play with them.

Wally is pretty high strung and energetic, so he would make a great exercise partner when he is older.

Wally already mastered the tricks sit and lay down! He is very smart (He learned those in less than 10 minutes) He still needs alot more work with house training, like all puppies, But will learn quick because of his intelligence. He also needs a little bit more work with leash walking.

Wally needs some time to warm up to his new surroundings but once he does, He is a playful, sweet, rambunctious puppy. He does like to play bite and mouth your hands, like many puppies, but he will grow out of the phase when he is a little bit older. He LOVES water, whether he's playing in it or getting a bath, he loves it. Doesn't try to wiggle away, he just relaxes.

Wally gets attached to the person that has the most contact with him. The person who feeds him, walks him and pets him the most. He will make a loving loyal pet. He is not the kind of dog that can be left outside all day and night, He thrives on human attention and enjoys being indoors with his people.

Please give him a loving forever home!
