Vinnie is a dream boy! What a super personality and cute, besides.
He is friendly, affectionate, confident, happy, content, easy going, tolerant--we have seen only the best behavior from this lovely boy
Vinnie is now about 5 months old and has gotten the all clear for the surgery required to fix his broken femur, after having been run over by a car at 3 months of age. No other injuries.
He tolerated all aspects of the surgery and recovery amazingly well which shows what a plucky contented boy he is.
While in recovery, he made friends with another of our dogs here who were perfect companions for each other. It sure helped Vinnie to get through all that forced inactivity while he healed. (Teddy, his friend, is also adoptable). See his separate listing.
Teddy will be somewhere near 50 pounds when grown and he shows great promise of being a great all around companion for a single person or a family. We don't know much about his behavior around kids (any ages), other animals besides dogs, He seems at ease in public settings, was relaxed at the vet visits and is an open, eager to meet anyone boy.
He's neutered, up to date on vaccinations and ready for a new home where he'll get lots of affectionate attention. He's a cuddler and enjoys people more than anything. We have listed him as an Australian Cattle Dog for primary breed as a best guess. He's clearly a very mixed breed and may include Australian Shepherd, Pit Bull Terrier or any combination of any dogs common in rural locations these days. He's definitely a go with the flow easy going guy.
We will be looking for a perfect fit for him in his new home which needs a fenced yard area for him to run around in, his family home most of the time, and where he's included in the daily activities. Another, compatible, dog would be great for him.
Please contact us for more information or to obtain an adoption application if he sounds like he'd be a good match for you and your situation.
