My Story

******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Usher Raymond, approx 5mo old, neutered male, boxer/shepherd mix, 18 pounds. Usher is in a foster home in Austin, TEXAS and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! Meet the 2000s Popstar Litter! This family was at the city shelter and eventually landed on the euthanasia list where they miraculously sat safe for a full day. Thanks to fosters stepping up, we were able to save the whole family! Given Mom is a 30lbs mixed breed and these puppies are so big already, we've got a Confession - we expect them to be large (50-60+lbs) when full grown. Usher, though, is the smaller of the two boys and the more shy. Don't get it twisted, Usher may be young, but if you leave your girl 'round him, she'll be calling him "My Boo." Usher will need a family that will commit to training, socialization, and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty training and daily exercise but will be happy to know Usher has only had a few accidents here and there. He also does well in a kennel...Yeah! Usher has not been around cats or kids yet. We always recommend a home with kids who will respect and can understand animal boundaries. For younger kids, we expect parents who will supervise and help teach appropriate animal manners. Usher is looking for Love in This Club (also known as a family) who understands what goes into raising puppies into adulthood. This can be prior experience or someone who will seek support as needed (training, friends/family). Puppies bring so much joy, but also need intentional and committed attention. They need help socializing with new people, other dogs, leash work and basic obedience. For puppies this age, someone needs to be home more than they are away as crating them for long periods of time is not conducive for their developmental needs. If you work outside of the home longer than 4 hours, please explain who will is available to spend time with this puppy while you are aware. If that information is not included, we will not consider your application. ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt him?
