Urgent Sweet Doug

If you’re having black lab dreams of an amazing guy by your side who will love you always, you’ll fall for this handsome hunk named Doug! Sadly dogs are in more need than ever before, and that includes even gorgeous labs like him! He was found roaming with a few black labs and a kind animal lover called animal control, afraid they could get injured. Doug and his family members were all so kind to everyone with animal control, they hopped right in the truck and were eager to make friends! When they arrived at the crowded pound there weren’t much for open runs. Shortly after their arrival they learned that their owner was hospitalized and was unsure of what the future held, so their owner turned them over to the pound… sadly, that means they are immediately eligible for euthanasia. Everyone was scrambling and doing their best to ensure safety for this marvelous group of labs! After much scrambling, a short term foster situation was found to ensure his safety, and allow for time to have his medical work taken care of. Doug has since made all of his vet appointments and was a shining star! He was fantastic with everyone, and he has now had all of his medical work completed! He’s vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, he is current on flea, tick and heartworm preventative, and he is now neutered! He is 16 months old and 70 lbs! Doug is doing great everywhere he goes, and is such a wonderful guy. He is great in the house and has been reliably going potty outside! He’s currently with kitties and does well with them, and always enjoys a romp with a new doggy friend! He has clearly never been an only dog, but he’s also been very comfortable and loving with people. He loves to play with other dogs and is very social, and will do great in a home with a dog companion, but will also go great in a home as an only dog provided it’s an active home who will love to take this big baby on hikes, car rides, and other adventures! He’s been in play groups with dogs as small as 4 lbs and large as 100, both male and female, and he’s been fantastic. He’s a confident guy and he’s ready to be a super devoted and loving companion! Not only does he love hiking, playing in the water, toys, and animal friends, but this guy is definitely a snuggler. He will love parents who enjoy a movie night snuggle session, or who long for a pup who will sleep beside them. Doug is super intelligent, loving, loyal, and so wonderfully gorgeous! Given the crowding of pounds, we are doing our best to support amazing pups like him to have their medical care done and find the homes they dream of! Doug is an amazing guy, and we will do whatever we can to see his dreams of a bright future come true!
