URGENT Nate

This unbelievably sweet, gorgeous, big ham of a boy is Nate! He was found having been abandoned and quite underweight. He was so desperate for love and fortunately an amazing animal lover found him and Nate immediately went to him with a wagging tail, giving him lots of kisses!! He was so grateful to have found a friendly person, and hopped right up into the car with person, ready to put the days of homelessness behind him. The kind man brought him to the dog pound in the homes that a good owner would be looking for him, and that a wonderful adopter would fall in love with him! From the moment he came into the pound, he stole everyone’s heart! He has the brightest, happiest smile and is such a wonderfully sweet guy, he is irresistible! Unfortunately the pound is in crisis as adoptions are at an all time low, and homelessness in pets is at an all time high. Everyone at the pound is desperate for this boy to be saved. Unfortunately we do not have room in foster care to save him, but we are committed to doing everything we can to help find this guy an amazing home where he will be safe and loved forever! Nate is 4 years old and currently weighing 55 lbs, but is continuing to gain weight and fill out now that he’s got great food! His ideal weight is probably a handsome 65 lbs! He’s gone ahead and had all of his medical work completed. He’s now fully vaccinated, heartworm tested, dewormed, microchipped, on preventative and he’s neutered! He is officially ready and desperately waiting for his dream parents to scoop him up! Nate is seriously a big baby, a pure marshmallow. Full of love, gratitude, and enthusiasm to be alive, this boy is ready to be someone’s devoted best friend for life. Volunteers have spent tons of time with him, taking him for car rides, visits to the store, on errands, sleep overs, play dates with dogs, you name it! It’s imperative to us to know exactly where he will thrive and do our best to find that for him! Nate has been excellent in the house and has been fabulous going potty outside. He has medium activity level and super loves to play with other dogs! He’s been good on a leash and a solidly excellent copilot! Wherever we have taken him, he makes fast friends and is so happy to see the world. He enjoys toys, hiking, and most of all, snuggling! Nate’s a master snuggler, enjoying cuddling up close to you on a movie night, and he’ll absolutely sleep in bed with you through the night if you give him the chance! He likely didn’t have tons of love in the beginning of his life, but all that has done is given him more enthusiasm to find true love, and be the bestest boy for the wonderful people who pick him to be their new baby. He’s beautiful, super sweet, and friendly with everyone! He would love a home with a yard to play in, and the chance to breathe some fresh air, roll around in the grass, watch the birds, and learn all about what it means to have a family and truly be loved. Nate’s got a heart of gold, and we can’t wait to see him make it out of the pound and have a second chance in life.
