My Story
tux has gone to live with a great couple in Kelowna. They are active folks, who are prepared for all the cute, and often challenging, moments that raising a puppy entails. Thank-you Haley and Matt, for committing to the brat that is Tuxedo, and thank-you to everyone who helped get Tux out of animal control alive! Above is an attempted pic of Tux and his new Dad, he just wouldn't stop wiggling!
Update: Tux is one brilliant little puppy! At 9 weeks old he knows sit, lie down, shake-a-paw, come, has good off-leash skills, and is crate-trained. He is also doing great with his house-breaking, and loves to play with toys. He is a confidant pup, who is good with cats and dogs. Smart, active dogs like Tux, need to be kept busy or they will get themselves into trouble. Tux is a very mouthy pup, so we are searching for an experienced home, with no young children in it. One that will enjoy doing obedience work with him, and continue to teach him appropiate outlets for his smarts, and teething ways! when we first got Tux we thought that he was a lab x pittie, but as he grows and bulks out, he starting to look like a lab x american bulldog, or perhaps some boxer in there. Whatever he is he sure is cute!
Get me out of this joint!
First off I ended up in animal control, then I ended up with this foster family that thought they should name me Tux. I don't know what they are thinking. I'm only 8 weeks old, and not exactly interested in this tuxedo contraption, unless it is something for chewing! I'm chewing alot right now, and my foster family is trying to convince me that sharp little puppy teeth are for toys, and not for playing with humans with. Thankfully I'm frightfully cute, and manage to sucker my way into their laps alot. I like laps, I also like the dogs, and the cat I'm living with. The humans here are ok to, but they think that I need to pee outside, and make me sleep in this thing called a "crate." They tell me I look like a lab x some kind of bully looking breed puppy, and am way to cute for my own good. They also tell me I am too smart for my own good. I showed them that being smart is a good thing by learning sit and lie down in under 5 minutes.
What I also know is that this foster family thing just ain't good enough for me. I want a home of my own, with people to fawn over me, and take me out lots as I love to socialize and show off my cute ways! So maybe you should write my foster home and help me get out of here, and into your lap!
Puppies are a lot of fun, but also a whole lot of work. Please make sure you are ready to commit to having a puppy in your life, prior to applying for Tux.
