Bonded Sibling Pair - Tucker & Phoebe
Phoebe and her brother Tucker have been together their whole lives. They’re 9 year old Goldens and are in very good health. They’ve lived in both CT and Virginia with their family along with several other pets including cats, dogs and a horse. Phoebe and Tucker are both very loving, calm, and affectionate. They love to be with people but are also happy hanging out with each other or other pets. Phoebe and Tucker grew up with a doggy door and an electric fence so they’re used to coming in and out of the house and like to spend most of their time outside in the nice weather. They love to go for walks in the woods and can run off the leash and will return when they’re called. When they’re indoors the are content to relax and lie down.
Tucker is scared of fireworks and gets nervous when there is a thunder storm. He feels most secure when he can be with someone at this time. If he’s alone he will try to find a safe place and has even learned to open the door to the family car and get inside where he feels more secure, though he doesn’t know how to drive it so its important not to leave the keys inside as he is quite crafty.
Phoebe and Tucker both walk well on a leash, like car rides, and know the basic commands of sit, stay, down, and come. They are also good in a crate, although there is no need to crate them as they are so well behaved. They are up to date on all shots, neutered/spayed, heartworm negative, and housebroken.
If you have room in your heart and home for these two beautiful Goldens, apply today for Phoebe and Tucker.
All potential adopters need to complete our online application and participate in our pre-adoption review process, including a home visit, before being approved. In some cases, the specific dog you are interested in may have found a home before this process is complete or further assessment may find that this dog is not the right match for your family. We are regularly getting new Golden’s in need of a home, so we encourage you to apply and get approved so that when the right dog comes along you will be ready.
The information provided on each dog is based on observations of our vets, volunteers, fosters and when available, trainers. While we do our best to report any and all issues, SGRR does not make any guarantees as to the health or temperament of any dog. Dogs evolve differently in different environments and we cannot predict with any certainty how the dog you adopt will act in your home.
Our dogs are fostered in private homes. WE DO NOT HAVE A FACILITY TO VISIT.
