All Planned Pethood dogs and puppies are altered (spayed/neutered) and fully vetted prior to adoption. Dog breed is a best guess by the vet and/or Petfinder breed expert findings. We cannot guarantee breed, weight, age of dogs or final adult size of puppies.

Lucky Tucker is a 9 yr old 89 lb male lab that came into an area pound as a stray. He was microchipped and that chip was registered to Planned Pethood in 2001 (Planned Pethood doesn't normally microchip their dogs, but the pound he originally came from did do it for a short time). His adopter could not be located and no one called the pound the claim him. So plans were made to bring him back into the Planned Pethood program. Per chance a family had applied for another Planned Pethood dog, but that dog wasn't active enough for them. One of our foster moms had seen the application and knew that they were looking for an older dog, so suggested Tucker (who at that time was just known as the yellow lab). Well to make a long story short, he is on a foster to adopt on the day that he was sprung from the pound. How's that for a happy ending.
