Affectionate and playful, 1.5 year old Tucker is a very fun little people-pleasing guy who loves to be with you. A major lover of tummy rubs and fetching, Tucker is a smaller sized jet black Lab who weighs a trim, athletic 55 pounds.

Tucker is housetrained and a good boy in house when you're home and away. He's comfortable in a crate for a few hours, but would not enjoy spending an entire day there. When Tucker came to us he'd been abandoned and had little attention; so like many a young rescued Lab he admits with a sigh, "I was a bit of a hooligan." "Now", adds Tucker, "I am a very good boy! My foster mom and I have been going to a weekly obedience class at Ted Terrroux's Canine College. I'm one smart guy plus my foster mom is a real stickler about doing our homework so am I ever doing great.

"I know all my basic commands, come when called, wait at doors, do an impressively long sit-stay or down-stay for my dinner and take treats nicely. Still working on my leash manners when we encounter other folks and dogs. . . . nobody's perfect!
A forever home that will give me lots of exercise, consistency, leadership and will continue helping me with my 'good-boy homework' would be ideal.
