We've received wonderful news about Toasty! His owner has found a home for him where he now has a large back yard and a beagle buddy to romp around with. We are so very pleased that his owner was able to hold on to Toasty until a new home was found. By keeping Toasty in his home, that made the transition so much more easier on this senior guy.
Toasty is a tall, dark, handsome and VERY nice 9-year old, neutered male German Shorthaired Pointer. He is in terrific shape for his age and has been well cared for. His owners, however, work very long hours and have reluctantly decided they need to try and find him a new home where he can spend his "golden years" in the style and comfort to which he has become accustomed. This is a very difficult decision for them to make, but they are confident it is the right one for their boy.
Toasty currently lives in a townhouse. He is housebroken and knows basic commands such as sit and down. He loves to play ball, chew on chew toys and take long walks on leash. He must be crated when his owners are gone because he becomes mildly anxious.. But once settled in to his spacious, comfy crate, he peacefully sleeps away the day.
Toasty is a typical Shorthair. He will try and steal food off the counter or table if someone isn't watching, but what GSP wouldn't? His owners say Toasty is fine with kids, but he is a big boy, so he could knock over very small children. He will chase cats, so a no cat home is preferred. And Toasty has always been an "only dog" so we would prefer he continue to be.
If you are looking for a handsome, well behaved yet athletic and active mature dog, Toasty is the dog for you!
