My Story

Tilly came to us when her achy joints could no longer tolerate having a child climb all over her, and she was finding life stressful in general. While Tilly likes children, she would be happiest in a home without them, or with older children who will respect her space. Tilly is selective about her dog friends, so would do best in a dog-free home, or one that understands how to respect each dog's boundaries and space. In the time she's spent with us so far, she has been disinterested in the other dogs. She has no experience with cats, but the previous owner indicated she has a prey drive, so it would be best not to have small animals around. Tilly does have anxiety about being left alone, and we are working on helping her with that. She is house trained, and would love a fenced-in yard to hang out in. Due to dental disease, Tilly has had a dental procedure on July 31, 2 incisors were extracted and now is ready to find her new home! A 5-week Good Manners training course is included in Tilly's $350.00 adoption fee. Please call the Adoption Center at 802-476-3811, or email [email protected], to schedule a time to talk to an adoption counselor about her, and to determine if you should meet Tilly.
