Meet Thor! Thor was purchased as a puppy at a flea market, he was taken home and chained to a tree where he lived the next two years of his life. Another rescue stepped in when they received a call about him getting eaten by flies while outside. The top of his head, ears and spots on his body had open wounds from fly bites. The owners agreed to surrender him and that rescue got him the medical care he desperately needed. Despite his horrible start, Thor has proven to be a smart, gentle boy. Thor is very treat motivated and will sit on command. Thor does well on a leash, has behaved appropriately when meeting new dogs, and loves attention from adults and children. Thor has received vet treatment for his multiple wounds caused by fly bites and is healing up nicely. He is negative for tick diseases and heartworm and has now been neutered. He will have some scarring on his head and body but we still think he is handsome. Requirements for Adoption: **Must live in the Central Ohio area ( within 45 miles of our office) **Must be over the age of 24 to adopt. **Your resident pets must be spayed/neutered.? **There is an adoption agreement and adoption fees are as follows: $300 for Adult Dogs $100 for Cats Adoption Process: ** We do not have an application. Adoptions are pet-adopter driven. To meet our pets: Call our office at 614-471-9000 or click on the pet that you are interested in and send email. The foster dogs are in foster homes and most of the cats reside at our office so meet and greets are by appointment only. The adoption process includes a lease manager reference (if applicable) , a veterinarian reference, and a home-visit. If you've never owned a pet, part of our adoption process requires that you call several vet offices to compare services, prices, and availability. The pooch that visits your home will go back home with us to allow your family to discuss and ensure he/she is a good fit for your home.? All pets are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm tested (dogs), FIV/leukemia tested (cats), & micro-chipped. Known medical conditions are discussed at time of inquiry.
