ADOPTED!!! Teddy is 18 months old and a great big Teddy Bear, very gentle and loving. We were told he is a Tibetan Mastiff but not sure, he looks like a huge Golden Retriever. He loves to romp and play and doesn't have a clue about his size. He loves the outdoors but comes inside at night and sleeps in a crate. He lives on farm but recently started chasing the livestock, now he needs to find a home with no farm animals. He loves kids and gets along with cats but chases any critters that run from him. He is definitely the alpha dog and once he establishes his place in the pack he gets along with everyone. Teddy likes to follow you around and sit at feet. He is a great companion dog. He can sit, shake and crawl but hasn't has not mastered "stay". He is housetrained, neutered, microchipped and up to date on his shots. WE HIGHLY recommend puppy/dog training! It is very important when adopting a pet. We become easily frustrated b/c people will EASILY adopt a puppy, but then not train them properly, and need to find another home for them when they are starting to exhibit bad behavior patterns, i.e, biting, jumping, etc. Usually around 3-9 months old. By that time, they are not “cute”, "small", or very “puppy.” It is very important that you go to a dog obedience class with your new pet! This will greatly help them and you learn how to properly teach good habits, instill discipline, and learn effective training techniques. Obedience training also helps older dogs who are going into a new home/environment as well! The window of opportunity for establishing good behavior patterns and strategies for both puppy and dog is limited!
