Teddy

Hi! My name is Teddy and I am 9 years old. I was a victim of "true" backyard breeding and I was the stud. I was kept tied to a tree by a rope living in my feces for the first 9 years of my life. When my rescue group rescued me I was covered in feces and had to be shaved down. Of course the “lady” who "had" me only cared for the money I brought in and nothing was ever given towards me. I have never been vaccinated and my foster mom just took me to the vet and I have very heavy heartworms. I have to get my treatment ASAP and they said due to my age it is really risky but I am too good of a boy to be just put down. On top of that my rescue group is against euthanasia. I will need to be neutered as well but the vet said if they put me under to neuter me now that I would most likely not make it through the surgery due to the level of heartworms. So of course my foster mom said "no we will not risk that" and I will be treated for heartworms first. No worry though...my stud days are over and I now live inside the house and might I add...sleep in bed with my humans :0) Please consider making a donation towards my treatment as my rescue group desperately needs the funds for me.
