Teddy

This handsome young man is looking for his next chapter. He is a very interesting guy who took a little time to get to know us, but boy he is friends with every fido on the block. He was very reserved and dignified when we first picked him up, but when he saw his foster siblings he acted exactly like you would expect an 11 month old puppy to behave. He like to play tug-of-war with them as well as chase and when they wear out he is perfectly happy to throw a ball for himself. He also has kitty friends and has no issues sharing the home with them. He is a young adult and we definitely want him going to a home where there is a physical fence as well as another companion canine. He does love attention from his people, but really appreciates the companionship of another dog as well. Teddy has had a rough go of it lately as he was moved from a mommy he dearly loved and who loved him as health issues made it impossible for her to manage him safely. He had gone to a board-n-train prior to coming to iPAW where an e-collar was used and he developed an infection on his chest which has been treated and he has been cut shorter than we prefer to let everything grow back in easily\. Although he is the size of an adult dog, he is still a puppy at heart and will need to have a schedule, crate time and basic obedience to live his best life. He does walk on a leash and is getting better each day, he is hesitant to get in a car, but does and is doing much better about car sickness than he was in the beginning. He would love a medium or active family who has children over 12. He isn't bad with smaller children at all, but they scare him and we want him to feel comfortable in his new home.
