My Story

Taylor is a 1 year old female. She is part of the Paws on Parole Program. She will be available to go to her new home on August 20th, but you can fill out an application at any time to adopt her. Paws on Parole is a program that teaches prison inmates to train adoptable dogs. The inmates learn the methods and train the dogs in the American Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizens Course. At the end of the training course, the dogs are available for adoption. Contact Hilary Hynes at [email protected] or 352-264-6881 for more information. Please let the Shelter staff know you saw this dog on Petfinder.com. All the animals at the shelter are spayed/ neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative, are microchipped, and have current rabies vaccines and Alachua County licenses. With all adoptions we offer a free vet exam to the vet of your choice in Alachua County. Adoption fees are $85 for dogs and puppies, $75 for cats and kittens, and $45 for New Hope dogs or $33 for New Hope cats. New Hopes are animals that have been here for an extended period of time. Please come take a look at these wonderful animals!
