My Story

Our adoption application can be found at the bottom of this pet's bio. Once your application has been approved, we can arrange a virtual meet & greet with you and Taylor. Taylor is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX and is eligible to transport to an adopter as soon as one is lined up! Meet Taylor! Taylor is estimated to be 1-2 years old and a lab mix who currently weighs 50 pounds. Taylor is fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and ready to find a family to call her own! Taylor is a sweet, goofy girl who just wants to give you all of her love and look at you lovingly with her amber eyes. She is very loyal and affectionate and she LOVES getting affection back. She’s the kind of dog that thinks you’re the best human to have walked the Earth and lets you know that. She loves hanging out with you and is a perfect companion. Taylor learns quickly and is very receptive to training and to people in general. Taylor is dog-friendly and has lived with several different dogs. Taylor enjoys play time with her foster siblings. We would describe Taylor as having a moderate energy level. She would love an active family or a yard to run her zoomies in. She enjoys playing fetch and would love a family that will play with her! She's also happy with getting affection and attention on the couch. Taylor still has some “puppiness” left in her, but I think she will lose some of that energy. Taylor LOVES water and would make for a great adventure buddy if you're looking for a water dog! Taylor likes to chase cats, so we'll be looking for a home for her without a cat. Taylor is kid friendly! She's been around young, school aged children and does great with everyone. Taylor is so friendly that we think she would be great in a home with any age of children. Taylor is currently working on commands such as "sit" and "stay" and is working on her leash walking. She gets really excited for walks and will pull (just slightly) and only some times. She is super responsive to corrections and verbal cues such as "no" during walks. Taylor is fully potty trained! She's really great about letting you know when she needs to go out and potty. Taylor is crate trained and is amazing about going into her crate! She will occasionally go into her crate on her own accord when her foster mom is working from home. Here are a few positive things Taylor's foster mom had to say about her: Taylor loves being by her human's side. If you're working from home, she'll happily lay at your feet. She seamlessly integrated into our foster dog family and loves playtime with her companions. She's great at sending signals and letting us know when she needs to go outside. She has quickly grasped training commands. Her strong recall demonstrates her attentiveness and responsiveness. She just wants to be loved and give love. Taylor is happy to meet strangers inside and outside of the home! She's super friendly with everyone that she meets and greets everyone with tail wags!
