My Story

Highlights: -Needs 5ft fenced yard -Needs confident canine sibling -Needs experienced, patient adopter -Would do best with kids aged 16+ ####Meet Tasha, a lively female Alaskan Husky who weighs 35 pounds. Tasha absolutely loves yard time, splashing in the kiddie pool, and racing around with her foster sister. She enjoys exploring every nook and cranny of the yard, including bugs and plants, finding endless fascination in her surroundings. Tasha will need plenty of exercise to keep her happy and healthy. Though she is not yet trained, once she is, she will likely enjoy long walks. When meeting new people, Tasha can be very shy and may come off as skittish and scared. She needs a patient home that will give her the time to warm up and become the loving dog she's meant to be. Despite her initial shyness, Tasha is incredibly sweet, with a curiosity and confidence that shines through once she feels safe. She would thrive in a home that understands her unique needs and can help her grow into her full potential. Are you ready to welcome this sweet and curious Husky into your life? With your patience and care, Tasha will blossom into a loyal and joyful companion. ---------- Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. Because some of our dogs are very under socialized, they may not be a good fit for young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Some of our more fearful dogs will do best in a home with another dog and a securely fenced yard. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, many of these dogs come around with patience and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience.
