Tank

Tank is a gorgeous brindle Bullmastiff that loves people. Of course he is as strong as a Sherman tank. He was turned in to a Shelter in Greenville, SC because his previous owner's landlord said the dog was too big for the apartment...go figure!!!! Tank is good with people but has not been around a lot of dogs. He is being worked with at his foster mom's house to see how tolerant he is with other dogs. Tank is very sweet and as the Mastiff nature he is gentle yet protective if need be. Though Tank's previous owner may have cared for him she did not care enough to give him a heartworm preventive so therefore he has heartworms. Tank will receive the medical care he needs from Canine Shelter Rescues Vet and then he will be ready for his very own family.

Tank is also a couch potato. He takes up most of the couch! He is good in the house, does not mark and is completely house trained. He doesn't even mind a bath. I ahve to warn you though, after a good bath he will take a great nap and snore with the best of them. Tank can only be adopted to a family that is familiar with the extra large breed dogs and Tank MUST be an inside boy. Tank will need a fenced yard to play in and a family that will take up time with him....he will stay right by your side.

Well within 24 hours of his arrival we have discovered he has great basic obedieance. He know how to walk well on a leash, sit, down, stay (really good), come, heel. We ahve also discovered that Tank will be a better family member if he is the only dog and he does not do cats. He is GREAT with people of all ages...kids are no problem. He does not jump on people nor is he jumpy, hoppy, etc. instead he is well mannered.
