Tank

Tank was born 8/07 and has been with our rescue since 4/2010. He was surrendered by his owner when his owner could no longer afford his care or have time to be with him.

Tank is a 98# solid bundle of muscle looking for love. He is extremely smart and has a long list of commands already known. However he's learned to work the system and will turn on his "selective hearing" when he knows he has a newbie at the end of the leash. While Tank has a solid disposition and loves everyone, we are recommending a dog savvy home for him, one that has some dog ownership experience under their belt. Tank does wonderfully with children, however because of his sheer size and desire to give hugs, we caution those with toddlers as he may be too big to interact regularly with them.

Tank enjoys playing with other dogs and because of his moderate exercise requirement, would do well in doggie daycare. He usually likes to take on the "supervisory" role of the pack and can be known to butt heads with alpha/pushy pups, therefore we do recommend that a dog introduction be done prior to adopting him if you do have an exisiting pooch.

Tank is eager to please, quick to learn, and food motivated. He's a quick study and per his previous home is crate trained and housebroken.

Important Information

Most of our dogs & puppies will be available to meet each Saturday from 10-2 at Madison's eastside PETsMART. If you are interested in a specific dog or puppy you will be able to meet the dogs by appointment as well if you have an approved application.

COST: Adoption Fee: Adult Dogs (over 1 year of age) - $238

Puppies (under 1 year of age) - $317

We offer a $50 rebate to our adopters who complete a training class and send in proof of completion within 4 months of adoption.

Our dogs have all been spay/neuter, vaccinated to date, microchipped, heartworm tested, current on flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention. We take care of any Vet care that the animal needs to be ready for adoption.
