Sydney was seen roaming for 10-12 weeks in a remote area, probably dumped, before she could finally be captured. She went unclaimed at the shelter and kind staff knew she wouldn’t thrive in a kennel environment and reached out for help.
Sydney is finally learning that human touch can be pleasant. Sydney is living happily with cats and she likes other dogs. She uses a doggie door to go potty and loves hanging out under a tree when it’s hot out. Sydney is beginning to play, she likes taking her toys and the dog beds outside.
Sydney is an Australian Shepherd of 40 pounds and about 9 months old. Shes making slow steady progress in her foster home and will need a patient adopter to continue the good work.
She is food motivated which is making training easier. She uses a doggie door, walks nicely on a leash, and comes when called. She needs love and patience. She'd also love a dog friend.
