We have rescued several pure bred Bedlingtons from a breeder who is very ill and unable to care for them. The posted photo shows Sweety after we have given her medical attention. The second photo is how she looked when we rescued her. Sweety is 3 years old! We have had her spayed, booster and rabies shots, cleaned ears and teeth due to severe mite infestation and gum infections. Sweety also had an impacted bowel, given enema to loosen stool and clean colon. Sweety has an old wound on her right hind leg that required surgery, the wound was filled with maggotts and infected. Sweety also had lacerations under her fur on her neck and inner thighs from old wounds, 4 ingrown toe nails had to be removed. Two of them were grown into the pad. Her nose was torn in half from an old injury (propably a bite). Sweety is going to need time to heal emotionally too. She will do very well in a quiet household. Currently she is scared, withdrawn and seems to be very depressed. She is much better when (mom) Amy is around. When she is seperated from Amy she grieves. Sweety is under close medical attention due to her leg, skin and various infections. She will not be ready for adoption until mid-November but we expect a complete recovery. Crate trained, housebroken and leash trained.
