Despite thousands of interactions with Humane Society canines, the photographer still gets fooled (on an occasionally regular basis) in his categorization of doggy characteristics. When he first, second and third met Swags he was sure that this gentle, sweet natured, animated canine was remarkably friendly, gracious, and patient, especially for a dog still in the prime puppy stage of life. It wasn’t until the day of the photo session that the human learned that Swags already had 7 years of life experience under his belt. In his years of learning, Swags has achieved and mastered the fine art of being a loving, caring companion with the intrinsic desire to share that closeness with a forever human friend. Swags showed that he still has the courage to succeed in a new adventure as he walked around the doggy pool, carefully observing the unfamiliar situation and then deciding to “test the water” and revel in the conquest of the cool and refreshing unknown.
