Suzie will remain in the Recovery Room until cleared for adoption. Suzie is heartworm positive and is starting heart worm treatment on June 1st. Suzie is a very sweet dog that has been through a lot of vet care since her intake. She is blind or has very low vision and is hard of hearing, but she gets around very well and is happy. Suzie is such a sweet, loving girl. She has never met anybody that she doesn't like! She is great with people, other dogs, and cats. She loves to cuddle. Food is her favorite thing, she will happily eat her food and beg for yours (when she can hear you eating), but she isn't overly pushy about it. She does best with a slow feeder bowl, since she eats so fast, she may try to steal other dog's food. She is currently getting treated for heartworms. She also needs a special diet for the rest of her life, in order to prevent bladder stone formation. She has a history of breast cancer, so keep a close eye on her, because she may get more masses Overall, she is a perfect dog. She will need to stay in the Albuquerque NM area until heartworm treatment has been completed.
