My Story

MY ADOPTION FEE IS WAIVED JULY 15 - 21 AS PART OF THE MASS SAVES ADOPTATHON!! Meet Sunflower. He is a cute boy that is oh-so-sweet once he knows you. Here at the shelter this good boy has successfully walked with several other dogs and seems to enjoy walking with a calm friend. In fact, Sunflower would likely gain some confidence living with another dog. This dog came to us from an overwhelmed and overcrowded kennel environment. We do not have any information about his behavioral history previously, yet we do know that most of the dogs were found to be thin, living in unsanitary conditions without regular access to clean bedding, food, and water. It is likely that he spent most or all of his time in his kennel without much opportunity for learning about normal dog things like meeting new people or dogs, living in a home, etc. Transitions will likely be difficult for Sunflower. Sunflower will need an adopter willing to give extra time and patience as this best boy adjusts to his new world. And he will need help learning all dog things like house training, walking on a leash or playing with toys. Sunflower could possibly live with a cat. And he would strongly prefer not to live with children. Do you think you have the time and home and heart for this good boy? If so, come visit Sunflower at the MSPCA Methuen location Tuesday-Sunday 12PM-4:30PM.
