My Story

STITCH - Purebred beautiful German Shepherd needs a foster home NOW! Stitch is about 3 yrs. old and is a beautiful purebred German Shepherd that had been used as a breeder. Then after getting tired of her the no good people that had her took her to the pound to be killed. A lady and her family saw her at the pound and they adopted her and took her home so that she would not die. As you know when an owner turns in a dog then the dog can be put down IMMEDIATELY. The lady lived in an apartment and there was a weight limit for dogs and Stitch was over that limit. They were just going to keep her until they could find a good home for her, but some of the neighbors reported her to the landlord and they had to remove her fast and so C.H.S. took her in. She is also great with other dogs and is very loyal and loves being with her people. She is housebroken and has great house manners and really does need a fenced yard. She is up to date on her shots and has been dewormed and spayed but is heartworm positive. We need a foster/furever home for her. Columbus Humane Society is getting her heartworm treatments. They will start in about 2 weeks and we need to get her into Wilmington so she is near the vet’s office to get her treatments. We will provide all treatment for her and you will not have to pay one dime out of your pocket. We will also provide the food if you can't. You will just need to get her to the vet and you can even drop her off in the morning and pick her up in the evening. It is only two treatments so you won’t be going back and forth to the vet’s office all the time. Only two times. Her adoption will include up to date on shots, worming, bordatella and spay, and of course heartworm free. If you can help foster her or if you think that you might want to foster and then adopt her after she has had her heartworm treatments, then please contact: [email protected] Please help us to get her in to Wilmington so that she can be treated.
