Steve is a lovable happy-go-lucky 8 year old male neutered beagle. He was adopted a few days ago by very nice person however the Steve was too active for the elderly person in the home. They felt very sad because it wasn't Steve;s fault at all -- they loved him but it just wasn't going to work out. They felt it was best for Steve to find a new loving family. He has lived his whole life as an indoor family pet, he was not used for hunting, he is great with his potty habits. Steve can be left alone in the house for up to 8 hours - he was always kept in the bedroom in his former home with the door shut when the family was gone during the day. He walks great on leash and was used to sleeping on his doggy bed in the bedroom with one of his former family members. Steve is s good boy who loves you as soon as he meets you. Steve is very affectionate with his people pals including children and a friendly tail-wagger! He is social, outgoing and gets along with everyone. He's fine with other dogs too! He is a bit on the plump side of life but no worries - with a slow introduction and increase in his walks, he'll be just fine. Steve knows the commands sit, down and come. Just because Steve is a little older and in need of some help - doesn't mean he doesn't deserve a fair chance at a new life. If you love a beagle (we all do at MCHS), head on out to meet our guy Steve. Steve arrived at MCHS already neutered. He has also been sponsored. Ann Brownell has donated to help with his adoption rate In Memory of her childhood beagle, Oscar. Now Steve can be offered at a Sponsored Adoption Rate $45.
