Stegosaurus was a staff favorite at the shelter he came from. He is approximately 3-5 years old, was 70 lbs on intake, but is now a very healthy 100#! He was found stray, but never redeemed. He was in such poor health; his eyes were infected and closed shut; skin was raw from flea dermatitis and a poor diet. Stego had no fur on his body and looked like a baby Dinosaur hence the name. The shelter veterinarian provided medical care and with TLC from staff and volunteers, he has blossomed into a handsome, sweet boy with a loving disposition. He is good with other dogs, knows basic obedience commands and is very eager to please. He is a playgroup ALLSTAR: He loves ALL dogs and plays beautifully with them! He is still recovering from obvious neglect, so don't let his looks turn you away. His coat is coming back shiny and healthy, his eyes improving every day. He has begun treatment for heartworms which we fully fund. Stego will be a stellar companion for any family that is lucky enough to adopt him. Please come meet him and let this angel show you why he deserves to keep your couch warm!
As with all of our rescues, this pupper comes fixed, dewormed, fully vaccinated for the year (Rabies, Distemper Parvovirus, Parainfluenza, 4 strains of Leptospirosis, Bordetella), Microchipped (with free transfer), heartworm tested (we fully fund treatment if positive) and current on both flea and heartworm preventative.
