Starvin' Marvin

Marvin was adopted by his foster mom, who lovingly nursed him back to health after his horrific injuries.
On April 5 two Haven to Home volunteers, with the help of T&D Cats of the World in Penns Creek, saved the life of a sweet dog who was found wandering around the local campground. He is now staying at Sunbury Animal Hospital and staff and volunteers have begun calling him Starvin' Marvin because he was severely malnourished. He also has a horrendous wound on the scruff of his neck. The doctor thinks he may have caught his neck on some wire and was tangled up which tore off the skin on his neck. He is a 9 year old male, very friendly, and surprisingly healthy despite looking as if he's survived a war. Marvin has gained weight and is looking a bit better just two weeks after being rescued. He now needs surgery so that his would may heal completely. The surgery will be scheduled soon and will cost approximately $600, which does not include medical after care.

Marvin will not be available for adoption until after he has recovered from surgery. He is a wonderful dog and would make a great addition to anyone's family.
