My Story

Hi Everyone...My name is Starla. When I was little (which was just a few weeks ago) these nice people came and saved me from something called (put to sleep).  Being just a baby puppy at 15 weeks I still don't know what that means but boy am I glad I'm here with my foster Mommy.  Sometime during my short time at the shelter I hurt my left eye which my foster mommy had to put drops in.  Its all better now but I still have some grey in my eye from my booboo. I can't really tell I ever had my eye booboo but the Foster mommy says she can tell because of the coloring.

My foster Mommy says she loved my little wiggle bottom from the first time I climbed up in her lap.   I really don't realize that someday Im going to be a big doggie and I really love to give kisses and play play play in laps.  The FM (Foster Mommy) is trying to teach me some new tricks. Im working on 'Sit', 'Down', and 'Come' and she says Im such a smart little puppy that Im doing really well.  I've finally learned that I'm supposed to go potty outside and I get lots of praise and a treat when I go there.  I'm also being crate trained but I gotta admit I cry some when the FM first puts me in for a few minutes.  Then I realize that Im not getting out so I just go to sleep.

I love kids although the FM says I can be a bit nippy cause I'm just a little gal and still need to learn how to play appropriately, but she's teaching me.  I also love other doggies of all shapes and sizes and I specially love the ones that want to play with me.  The FM also has a few kitties running around and I am very curious about them but I just want to play I dont want to eat them or chase them.  FM says I'm not supposed to eat family so I usually just give them a little sniff and when they hiss at me I run away (man those kitties are scary!!) I've also met a few parrots and I think those are pretty neat too.

My FM says I'm supposed to find a forever home soon with my very own family that will love and cherish me just as much as she does.  I sure hope its soon because I really want to find a family that I can love and grow old with while Im still just a little girl.  I have such a big personality and I really want my very own family.  Will you be my new family?

Starla is UTD on her shots and has been spayed.  Since Starla is a puppy she is going to need the time and patience along with training to be the best doggie she can possibly be.

Age: 3 months old (as of 5/15/09)
