My Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

I see my room mate, Rocket, wrote his own description. Not to be outdone, I insist to do the same. I am a very regal 1.5 year young Liver Bedlington Terrier. No, I am not chopped Liver but rather the distinct coloring that is referred to as Liver. Of course, if you have Bedlington experience you will already know this. In the event that you are worthy of my company, let me tell you a little about myself. I came with about a dozen or so other Bedlingtons into this no-kill (duh!) rescue and I must say, life has never been better! I get to go on long walks with my foster mom and love to lay on the deck to sun myself. I require a soft blanket since the wooden deck rubs my skin the wrong way. I am a proper lady who loves to be rubbed on my lamb-like head. I prance like a princess when I am walked on a leash. Of course, I will sit patently by the door while my foster mom chases down my walking partner. He has no idea how to conduct himself. Maybe my good manners will rub off on him. A princess can only hope! There is a foster sister here that thinks she runs the show. When she comes around my food I will growl at her. The boys do not bother me at all. I love to play with them. The girls are ok but I would rather live with the boys. They just know how to treat a lady like she is supposed to be treated. I can stand on the grooming table and not move a muscle. Why not? Have you looked at me? It takes time to look this good. So, now to you... This is what I require: A warm, caring person who will surrender their home to me. I want a soft bed that I can nap in when I am not sleeping in your bed. I would like to have a bowl of water with ice chips in it whenever possible. My foster mom does that and she says it's not too much to ask. You must be a walker because I have to be shown off properly. Take me for car rides since the wind tickles my nose and people adore looking at me. I look great in a convertible (strapped in my doggie seat belt naturally) or a really nice cross over model. Mercedes might do. Well, actually it does not matter as long as the window rolls down a little. Couches are great and you should have a BIG one. Rubs are mandatory. I do not need a crate since I roam my current house freely and never do what is not expected. Cats are ok and other dogs are ok too. If possible, I prefer male roomates please. I am loving life right now so I suggest you have a firm understanding of my needs and call my foster mom if you think we are a good fit. I trust her judgement on whether or not I should move in with you. Bottom line is we need each other but don't tell anyone I said so.
