What a sweetheart! Sophie was rescued from Animal Control when her time was up. She weighs about 65# and is a mixed breed—our guess is Labrador/Husky. She is somewhere between 2-4 years old. She is playful, yet well-mannered. We have has Sophie since 7/2006 and just cannot figure out why? She is a very good girl and just wants to be loved! It's hard to get a good picture of a black dog, but she is a cutie, too!
Sophie gets along with other dogs and cats and children. She loved to have her belly rubbed by everyone she meets! She is very well-behaved and knows some basic commands, such as SIT, DOWN, COME and WAIT. Sophie also LOVES water. On hot days, we will walk to the lake and she just lay in it to cool off. She likes to show off her ball after she fetches it.
She appears to be housetrained and crate trained, so she will fit easily into any home.

This dog's adoption fee is $215 (plus tax). This includes being spayed/neutered, current on Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations, wormed, microchipped with the HomeAgain microchip, heartworm tested (negative) and medicated during the heartworm season (May-Dec) while in our care, comes with a Gentle Leader headcollar (if we feel it is needed), and is currently learning Basic Obedience commands and good doggie manners.
