SOPHIE~ADOPTED!

Sophie is a sweet little senior (approx 7-8 years old) who ended up in a kill shelter with no hope of escape until we were called in to help the little girl. When she arrived at the shelter, it was clear she had been neglected for quite some time. She was so infested with fleas that her hair was thinning and her skin was pink and inflamed. She has been treated with flea preventative and the fleas are gone much to Sophie's delight. She is now on high quality food and her hair is starting to grow back in so she can become the fluffy little white dog that we know she has the potential to be. Sophie also had several very bad teeth (7 in total!!) which with the help of our loving vet, were removed so that she could start eating food again without pain, which is great because she LOVES food! Sophie is an absolute sweetheart of a dog who loves nothing more than snuggling with her people. She is an older girl who sight may not be what it used to be, but she has LOADS of life still left in her. She loves to play and can be very animated. She is totally housetrained, she's good with other dogs and would likely be fine with cats. Sophie is looking for a caring retirement home to help her body catch up with her fantastic spirit.
