Socks is approximately 2 years old in these pictures taken February 13, 2008. She came to us because her owners were evicted from their home. They said that she loved to play with their grandchildren. The youngest of which was 8 years old. She loves to play with other dogs but is a bit shy with humans. Socks needs work on a leash but seems to be very smart as she is catching on quickly to what she needs to do. Her owners were evicted so they had to give her up.
February 13, 2008 - UPDATE: Socks is doing great. She loves the new puppies-very motherly instict. She does fine with the cats. We really don't have any problems except I can't say she is housebroken 100%. We have had her in for several hours at a time with no problems or accidents but she does not get left inside while we are at work-so I couldn't say how she would do if left all day long.
October 10, 2007 - UPDATE: Socks has been in a foster home now for almost a month. She gets along great with the neighbor boy who is about 9. Does well with the fosters' cats and other dogs. Absolutely LOVES to play with their young dog. She is working on her housebreaking. Does well on a leash. She is a little nervous around strangers, but as soon as she sees that you are not going to hurt you, she seeks out attention.
