SMOOCH
Are you looking for a loving and gentle dog? One that you can "smooch" with? Well, look no further. Our Smooch is a one-year-old, blue and rust, natural ear and docked tail male that came into our program after he wandered into sometimes backyard as a stray. Smooch has an EXCELLENT temperament and can live with children, cats, and even small dogs. (He is still very much of a puppy, however, so he could inadvertently knock a young child over.) He also loves to play, wrestle, and sprint around with his foster dog brother and sisters - a female Rott, a female Dobe, and a male puppy Rottweiler. He shows absolutely no dog aggression and can happily chew on a bone while another dog chews on the other side. He is also very gentle in nature with people. Given that Smooch is only one year old though, he does need some obedience guidance. He is such a soft-natured dog, however, that he should be very easy to train. He has already learned many good house manners - he is 100% crate trained, possibly 100% housebroken (he is still being crated when his foster mom is absent and his foster mother believes that he will be able to be left loose in the very near future), and has learned not to put his paws on the counter. Smooch also rode great in the crate on his car ride to the vet. All in all, Smooch is a GREAT dog - a big, goofy, happy, and very friendly puppy just looking for a forever home. He would even do well in a less-experienced dog home, but he does have puppy energy. And, he is a blue Doberman, so his coat will require the extra attention required for blues.
