Smokey is 7 years old. He is a Malamute/Akita/Emerican Eskimo mix. He is approx. 71 lbs and a diet and/or lots of excercise could get his boyish physique back! He is cat predatory and is very Alpha so he must be the only dog in the house. He is extremely intelligent and learns commands surprisingly fast. He loves his belly or chest rubbed and will fall over as you pet him. He is a very sweet dog but it does take him a little time to warm up to strangers. He is very protective of his home and sometime needs to be reminded how to be the forceful quiet type! He thrives on lots of attention and would be a great companion for the right household. Smokey has been a strictly outside dog with closely supervised indoor experience. We have a cat and how he does like a game of chase!
