Skipper

Skipper is a purebred (red) sable and white rat terrier. He does have papers but has never been registered. He weighs approx 10 pounds and is absolutely adorable. He had to be given up by his owners because they were moving to a new home where pets are not allowed. I was told that he is used to small children but I think that he is alittle too skittish for youngsters. Would be fine with older kids who could be patient with him. Skipper needs some socialization with people and we will be working on that with him. I think that he would do VERY well with an older person or someone who could spend a lot of time with him. He does well with other dogs and cats. He is crate trained but still not completely housetrained. He prefers being inside.He has been on HWP and flea control. He is 8 months old. I was told that while at his previous home, he did have an accident where he jumped off of the couch and broke his leg. He was initially treated by a vet but the former owner did not follow through with his care and his leg healed with a slight limp. He gets around fine and it does not seem to bother him so it should not present any problems for him. He has been neutered, microchipped and is UTD with his vacc. His adoption fee is $150.00.
