My name is Sandy, and I’m a 5-month-old pup with the longest legs and snout you’ve ever seen. I came from the Lone Star State to the land of 10,000 lakes in early July, and let me tell you, my journey has been quite the adventure! Back in Texas, I was living in a field with my brother, and life started out pretty rough. I arrived in Minnesota with lots of scabs and sore spots from bug bites, and my ears were super sore. But guess what? I’m doing so much better now! My delicate skin is healing, and I have the softest fur around. My Texas name was Skah, but now I’m rocking the name Sandy! I’m a sweet, shy, and timid girl, but oh boy, am I affectionate! I love giving kisses and gentle corn cob nibbles to my foster parents and my kitty sibling. I’m very social and curious, always excited to see my foster family and fur siblings. I have two foster kitty siblings I adore and four pittie foster brothers. I wag my tail and smile when I see them, though I’m still a bit hesitant to join in their playtime. I’m a long girl with a big heart. I would probably do well with children, but I get scared with sudden noises or movements. I’m gentle and still building my confidence, so I need a family who can help me feel safe and loved. Snuggles are my absolute favorite, and I love my kennel—it’s my safe haven, and I’ve never had an accident in it. Potty training is going well, although sometimes I get scared outside and forget I need to go. I’m a bit spunky and love exploring, but I do shake when I’m afraid. Snuggles make everything better, though, and once I rest my head on your shoulder I will feel nice and secure. I also adore bully spirals and savor my treats to make them last.
