Update 06/05/2008: Shyler left our world this afternoon at about 5 pm for the Rainbow Bridge. Our vet did all he could to save him with this surgery.. However by about 4 pm Shyler started showing signs of distress and was humanely euthanised. We did all we could to save him. Please help him along his journey to the Rainbow Bridge with your prayers.. Thank you..

Rest in peace little Shyler.. You fought hard little guy- we just wish things would have been different and we could have helped you find a happy forever home..

please be aware that our vet bill for Shyler does not just go away with him.. We are still in desperate need of donations so we can carry on our rescue efforts... Please make a donation in Shyler's honor that we may b able to save the next baby that comes in.. Thank you..

Update 06/04/2008: Shyler has taken a turn for the worse and is in emergency surgery right now. It seems his intestines are somehow twisted or inside each other like a telescope or something.. Please pray that our little Shyler will make it through this very difficult time. I guess now we know why he was thrown over the fence-- the owners may have known how sick he was and that we would get him the medical he needed.. So far Shyler has cost the rescue $160, now this surgery will run us another $500 at the least!!! Please help us any way you can..

Shyler and Dink were thrown over our fence recently.. Shyler is very sick right now.. He is only about 3 lbs and is being treated for Coccidia.. We believe the owners knew he was sick and figured it must be something contagious so got rid of both the puppies due to the possiblity of a high vet bill... Of course we don't know though for sre since we weren't given any information on them.. They just kind of showed up.. We do not think they are from the same litter though.. Shyler should make it through his illness and once he is given a clean bill of health from our vet then he will be able to go to his new home..

We think he may stay pretty small but aren't sure.. We are currenly requestin donations to help cover his medical..
