Don’t let Shane’s beautiful picture fool you. Our incredible cruelty investigator rescued him after finding him staked and chained in a yard. Upon arrival at TSPCA, Shane was emaciated, weighing only 80 lbs. Our clinic staff was able to put 12 lbs. on him in 3 days. (Poor puppy was hungry.) He was, also, in horrible physical condition. Shane was covered with ticks and fleas and also had heartworms. Now flea and tick free, Shane is being treated for heartworms. Shane is a typical Great Dane, wonderful and loving. Despite his first encounters with humans, Shane is a lover and will bark to focus attention on him. TSPCA is the most wonderful place on Earth for Shane (currently) but we are hoping his forever home will show him how a loved family dog is treated.
