My Story

We'll be honest and say that we don't know what breeds Shae has in her. Our best guess is American Stafforshire Terrier, Rat Terrier & Jack Russell Terrier. More than one person has said they see Bosten Terrier in her. She weighs 45-50 lbs and shouldn't get any bigger. Shae loves people, loves dogs and loves life. To Shae, people come first, then dogs. She should be great with kids and make a wonderful family dog. She is fascinated by cats but after having received a whap on the nose she is also now nervous of cats. In terms of cats we'll put it this way- if your cat will put Shae in her place you will have no problems. If your cat will run at the first sight of a dog Shae will probably playfully chase. But if your cat runs from the sight of dogs, you probably don't need a dog anyway. Shae does very well in a crate. She has not had an accident in the house now for a couple of months so while we can't guarantee no accidents, she has finally gotten the hang of going potty outside. She is energetic (without being hyper) and playful, gives very good kisses. She has reasonable good leash manners and rides well in cars (though she is still learning how to jump into them on her own). She ignores plastic, rubber and rope toys but loves stuffed toys. While they will not last indefinitely, she is not a rabid chewer and takes pretty good care of her toys. She will sometimes play with tennis balls. We will update as more information comes in from her foster home.
